PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device configured to enable accurate device operation and setting input operation by operating an object in a detection area of an operation section, an input method, and a program.SOLUTION: An input device includes: a coordinate detection section 5 which detects operation information of a hand 3 of a driver in a detection area of an operation section; a speed detection section 6 which detects operation speed of the hand 3 of the driver detected by the coordinate detection section 5; and a speed range determination section 8 which compares an operation speed of the hand 3 detected by the coordinate detection section 6 before a coordinate change point with an operation speed of the hand 3 detected after the coordinate change point, to determine a first speed range and a second speed range lower in operation speed than the first speed range. A speed range determination section 8 validates the operation information of the hand 3 in the first speed range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
