PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a reader by constituting so that one electrode of X and Y electrodes for placing a photoconductive layer between them switches electrically the other, and simplify a wiring for leading out a signal for scanning a two-dimensional sensor surface. CONSTITUTION:An insulating substrate 2 of a sensor 1 is made to have an area of the same extent as a two-dimensional picture surface to be read, and a stripe- shaped X electrode 3 is formed at a constant pitch on the surface of the substrate 2. A photoconductive layer 4 is superposed and formed on this electrode 3, and on the photoconductive layer 4, a Y electrode 5 is formed at a pitch of the almost same extent in the direction orthogonal to the electrode 3. This electrode 5 is formed by a transparent electrode material, one electrode Y1 of this electrode 5 is used for selecting an electrode X1 at the time of reading a picture, and the remaining electrodes Y2-Yn are placed as a matrix-shaped sensor element. Also, a power source 8 is connected to the electrodes Y2-Yn through a switching element 9n controlled by a scanning circuit 11, an optical fiber array 10 provided with a switching light source 6 is placed on the surface of the element 9n, and the constitution of the device is simplified. |
