<p>Method of manufacturing a magnetic head, in which a multilayer structure comprising a transducing system (11A) with electrically conducting connecting tracks (17a, 17b) and further comprising a head face sensor system (15a, 15b) with electrically conducting connecting tracks (17a, 17b; 19a, 19b) is formed on a substrate. A processing operation is performed for forming a head face (23), which operation is terminated on the basis of measurements performed on the head face sensor system. In order to obtain a simple pattern of connecting tracks which can easily be realized, a portion of one of the connecting tracks of the transducing system (11A) and a portion of one of the connecting tracks of the head face sensor system (15a, 15b) are formed as a common connecting track (17a), and a portion of a further one of the connecting tracks of the transducing system and at least a portion of a further one of the connecting tracks of the head face sensor system (15a, 15b) are formed as a further common connecting track (17b).</p> |
