PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hard disk controller capable of connecting a large- capacity hard disk device to an information processor by dividing a storage area of the hard disk device and allowing the information processor to be recognized as respectively different hard disk devices for every divided area. SOLUTION: In this hard disk controller 1, the storage area of a hard disk 3 is divided into plural blocks and a different SCSI-ID is set for every divided block. The controller 1 also emulates a block to which the SCSI-ID is set in a selection phase when the SCSI-ID outputted from a PC(personal computer) 2 is the number set to the block. Then, the PC 2 recognizes each divided block as one SCSI device. Thus, it is possible to connect even the hard disk 3 which is limited by the OS, interface, etc., of the PC 2 and exceeds storage capacity.
