PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove toner from a used OA(office automation) appliance employing such toner and to utilize the cleaned OA appliance as an article to be recycled. SOLUTION: This cleaning device is provided with: a container the inner surface and the outer wall of which are formed in such a state that they are insulated from each other by pole plates each having an insulating layer formed on the surface; magnetic field generators placed on the surfaces of two opposite side walls of the container respectively, so as to be opposite to each other; and electric field generators placed at the top and bottom of the container respectively, so as to be opposite to each other. Thus, by controlling these magnetic field generators and electric field generators, toner is separated from an object to be cleaned which is received in the container and to which such toner is stuck, and deposited on the inner surface of the container through the action of a magnetic field and an electric field, to collect the toner. |
