<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure heat cycle fatigue resistance without using an elastic material such as a silicone rubber. <P>SOLUTION: The electroconductive ceramic composite material is composed of electroconductive particles forming a percolation structure and an insulative ceramic matrix which holds the electroconductive particles and has a first insulative material and a second insulative material. The first insulative material has a temperature area where its coefficient of thermal expansion drastically increases as the temperature rises, and a portion of the first insulative material is selectively arranged in the vicinity of the electroconductive particles. The second insulative material exhibits a nearly constant coefficient of thermal expansion at least in the temperature area. In the temperature area where the coefficient of thermal expansion of the first insulative material drastically increases as the temperature rises, the electroconductive passage by the percolation structure formed by the electroconductive particles is cut effectively and the resistance of the composite material is increased.
