In order to reduce reception gain dispersion between channels in a probe of a multichannel oscillator, an ultrasonic probe is provided with a plurality of channel portions wherein a single channel portion is a combination of an oscillator, a transmission circuit that transmits a signal that drives the oscillator with ultrasonic waves, wiring that transmits a signal from the oscillator that is driven by the ultrasonic waves with the signal transmitted from the transmission circuit, a receiving circuit that is connected to the wiring and that receives a signal from the oscillator, and a capacitance correction circuit that corrects the capacitance of a line including the wiring from the oscillator to the receiving circuit, wherein the capacitance of the line including the wiring from the oscillator to the receiving circuit is measured for each channel, and wherein the capacitance correction circuit is adjusted for each channel such that the measured capacitance for all the channels becomes the same. |
