<p>Panes with an embedded aerial wire or heating element wire, e.g. for the rear window of a motor car, are produced by applying to the pane parallel wires, coated with a binder. Immediately following the application, the wire is held by a self-adhesive strip which is removed again when the binder has become hard. Plain panes can thus be converted to heated panes without requiring expensive machinery. The original unheated pane need not be discarded.</p> |
