The invention proposes a prosthesis stem for replacing human limbs, in which a stump insert is provided. The height of the stump insert can be adjusted from outside the stem. Such a stem system serves to guarantee satisfactory and full contact of the limb stump with the stem and is employed, in particular, in conjunction with leg prostheses.
