<p>PURPOSE:To enable the directional control of wheel axes only while a vehicle goes straight by providing a cam device which detects the turning angle of a dolly about the center of a dolly center plate relative to a vehicle body, and steering the wheel axles of the dolly by means of a link mechanism connected to this cam follower. CONSTITUTION:Four axle boxes 5-8 are installed at both ends of the front and rear wheel axes 3, 4 of a dolly 2 and each connected to one end of a triangular link 13-16 via a steering link 9-12. Each triangular link 13-16 is axially supported by a fixed pin 17-20 and connected together by a connecting link 21 and also pairs 13, 15;14, 16 of the triangular links are connected to each other by respective joint links 22, 23 and the extended end portion of the triangular link 13 is connected via a steering link 24 to one end of a steering lever 26 provided in such a manner as being rotatable about a steering lever pin 25. The other end of the steering lever 26 is connected to a perpendicular fork 27 and a cam follower 34 located at the end of a cam arm 28 connected to one end of the perpendicular fork 27 is engaged in a guide groove 33 provided in the lower face 1 of the floor of the dolly body.</p> |
