PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting structure for a fishing rod body capable of precisely fitting a fishing rod body into a fishing rod body by a simple structure. SOLUTION: A base fishing rod 1 has a cylindrical body part 11 and a buffer layer 12 formed in the inner circumference of the end on the tip side of the body part 11 and softer than the body part 11. The body part 11 is obtained by winding a body prepreg comprising a fiber reinforced resin obtained by impregnating a synthetic resin into a reinforcing fiber such as carbon fiber around a core material and burning the wound material. On the other hand, the buffer layer 12 is formed of a soft prepreg softer than the body prepreg and integrated with the body part 11 when burned. The inner peripheral surface of the buffer layer 12 is brushed and made uneven by a metal brush, etc., to form plural fine projections 12a.
