摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a drive circuit for a fluorescent display tube with which a display image having high resolution is displayed with high display quality in a VFD(Vacuum Fluorescent Display) and at the same time an animation is displayed with high display quality. SOLUTION: In the fluorescent display tube drive circuit, driving voltage are applied to corresponding anodes and control electrodes of a plurality of VFDs and an image is displayed by the light emission of the VFD. The circuit is provided with a timing controller 1a which reads animation image data having a plurality of bit constitution from a RAM1c with each frame timing and transfers the data in parallel with a plurality of bit unit, a high breakdown strength anode driver 2A2 which generates a driving voltage to be applied to each VFD anode based on the transferred animation image data and a high breakdown strength grid driver 2A1 which generates a driving voltage to be applied to the control electrode of the VFD based on the transferred animation image data.
