PURPOSE: Antibiotic peptides and antibiotics comprising the same peptides are provided, which antibiotic peptide has improved antimicrobial activity against both Gram positive and negative bacteria, and fungi, pH stability and no cytotoxicity, so that it can be added to food, cosmetics and medicines. CONSTITUTION: The antibiotic peptide has the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:2 in which 16th and 18th amino acids in the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:1 are substituted with hydrophobic amino acids selected from triptophan, alanine, isoleucine, methionine, phenylalanine, proline, valine and leucine. The antibiotic peptide has the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:3. The antibiotics comprises the antibiotic peptide as an effective component. |
