<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and light-weight lighting fixture with a total manufacturing cost greatly reduced through simplification of a switching mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting fixture is provided with an LED 1, a battery 2, a switch piece 3, and a main body case 4 housing these members 1, 2, 3. One of the connection leads 6K of the LED is made in direct contact with an outer face of the battery 2. The switch piece 3 is supported by the case main body 4 in free rotation displacement between an on-position and an off-position. The switch piece 3 is provided with a changeover piece 33 for separating the connection lead 6K from the battery 2. With the switch piece 3 changed over to the off-position, the connection lead 6K is held in a non-conduction state by the changeover piece 33.
