<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilation member for a residence capable of enlarging an opening ratio by forming a large number of small slits or holes and also having excellence in corrosion resistance of the end face. <P>SOLUTION: The ventilation member is manufactured by a punching work of a Zn-Al-Mg alloy plated steel sheet, and a large number of small slits 14 or holes are formed at minimized punching intervals having about 1 to 5mm. Since the opening end face of each of the slits 14 or the holes is covered with a Mg containing zinc system corrosion product formed by redepositing Zn and Mg eluted from a plating layer, it does not become the starting point of the occurrence of corrosion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
