PURPOSE: An urn is provided which deodorizes and removes decayed odor of ashes contained in the urn without installing a separate deodorizing or ventilating facility in a charnel house. CONSTITUTION: The urn comprises a pot (1) in which a space for carrying ashes is formed; a deodorizing chamber (21) installed at the lower part of the pot (1), wherein deodorizers (22,24) are contained in the deodorizing chamber (21) and inside a lid of the pot (1); and a deodorizing part (2) on which a ventilating hole (23) is formed between the pot (1) and the deodorizing chamber (21) for reciprocally ventilating the air, wherein the deodorizing part (2) forms a deodorizing chamber carrying a deodorizer so that the deodorizing chamber is separated from the pot (1) inside of the lid of which the deodorizer is contained, a ventilating hole conforming with an air suction hole formed at the center part of the bottom surface of the pot (1) is formed at the center part of the deodorizing chamber, and a supporting stand is formed along the bottom surface of the pot (1) on the upper surface of the deodorizing chamber, and wherein the deodorizer comprises natural charcoal which is manufactured by applying a mixture that is kneaded after mixing yellow soil, ceramic powder and calcite powder to charcoal or wooden pieces, drying and baking the coated charcoal or wooden pieces at a high temperature of 1000 deg.C or more.
