PURPOSE:To provide a fan motor revolution number control method by which the sound of a refrigerant, being an uncomfortable noise for a user, is made relatively less outstanding. CONSTITUTION:For the control of a fan motor of the indoor unit of an air conditioner at the time of cooling operation, the temperature of the outside air (an outside air temperature sensor 1) and an indoor temperature (indoor temperature sensor 2) are respective detected, and a difference of both temperatures is detected. When the detected temperature difference is at a specified temperature difference or higher, and the revolution number of the fan motor is in the low revolution range, a control unit 3 change-controls a fan motor unit 4 in such a manner that the revolution number of the fan motor is raised to a specified revolution number from the previously set revolution number.
