<p>PURPOSE:To enable a detection of the existence of a tape cassette in a magnetic recording/reproducing device without providing an exclusive detecting means. CONSTITUTION:The tape cassette provided with plural detection parts 10, 11 to detect the kind of magnetic tapes is constituted in such a manner that a hole part of at least one detection part 10 or 11 is closed. (the combination such that the hole parts of all detection parts 10, 11 are opened, is prohibitted). The detection parts 10, 11, the holes of which are closed, are detected by detection switches 16, 17 at the side of magnetic recording/reproducing device, then the decision is made as 'no tape cassette existed' in the state that no detection is effected by the detection switches 16, 17.</p> |
