The arm rest has a base body (1) to which an arm support (2) is fixed. The base body has a cover plate fastened to it with play (3). The cover plate almost completely laterally covers the armrest. The base body has a cut out (4) which matches the form and depth of the cover plate. The cover plate can have supports (3) which fit the base body openings.
