PURPOSE: To provide a foldable seat which can widen a baggage space when the seat is folded. CONSTITUTION: The distance between side frame parts 42, 43 constituting a seat frame 40 is wider than the distance between side frames 32, 33 constituting a backrest frame 30. The position of the front frame part 41 of a seat frame 40 is equipped so as to be outside than the position of the upper end frame 31 of the back rest frame 30 to which the front end frame 30 approaches when folded. The foldable seat can be folded so that the back rest frame 30 is surrounded by side frame parts 42, 43 and the front end frame 41 and the seat frame 40 and positioned inside. Thus the thickness of the whole seat becomes almost same as that of the seat cushion part or the seat back part itself.
