<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater capable of performing hot water-type heating, reheating of bathtub water and heat retention by efficiently utilizing the heat of hot water stored in a hot water-type water heater. <P>SOLUTION: When a hot water supply set temperature is set to a hot water temperature of more than 40°C higher than the hot water near an intermediate tapping port 33, the water of intermediate temperature of an intermediate hot water portion in a hot water storage tank 2 is used with priority, and the tap water supplied from a water supply pipe 14 and reduced in pressure by a pressure reducer 40 is mixed by a first mixing valve 34 with a minimum water quantity, and supplied from a hot water supply combination tap 3 while controlling a second mixing valve 29 so that the water of high temperature in the hot water storage tank 2 is not used. As the water of intermediate temperature in the hot water storage tank 2 is reduced, a low-temperature water zone is formed by allowing the tap water to flow therein from a tap water intake portion 15 formed on a lower portion in the hot water storage tank 2, and the tap water can be boiled up while improving energy consumption efficiency (COP coefficient of performance), though a heating means 1 is operated, as the water of low temperature is introduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
