PURPOSE:To eliminate the generation of metal powder due to abrasion by lifting a travelling contact by means of an auxiliary ring during the changeover operation of fixed and travelling contacts by the joint action of the travelling contact and the auxiliary ring with an irregular groove and releasing contacts with the fixed contact. CONSTITUTION:Rollers 14a, 14b are combined with grooves 3a, 3b for an auxiliary ring 3, and travelling contacts 12a, 12b are brought into contact with a fixed contact 1, and given contact pressure required by a compression spring 11. Regarding operation to the fixed contact 1 at a distance (x) from the state, the auxiliary ring 3 conducts preceding operation first and extrudes the rollers 14a, 14b from the grooves 3a, 3b, and the travelling contacts 12a, 12b are moved in the directions of +y and -y, and contact-parted from the fixed contact 1. The auxiliary ring 3 and the travelling contacts 12a, 12b are unified, and shifted up to the distance (x). The auxiliary ring 3 is transferred again, and the rollers 14a, 14b fall into the grooves 3a, 3b for the auxiliary ring 3. The travelling contacts 12a, 12b are brought into contact with the fixed contact 1 under the state, and given contact pressure required by the compression spring 11.
