PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup which is excellent in optical characteristic and is provided with such a constitution that the position in focusing direction (Z-direction), X- directional position and Y-directional position of a photodetector are freely adjusted. SOLUTION: This optical pickup has a position adjusting mechanism 10 which is provided with a Z-directional position adjusting plate 14 which fixes the photoreceptor 12 and adjusts the Z-directional position of the photoreceptor and an XY-direction adjusting plate 16 which holds a Z-directional position adjusting plate on the side opposite to a confronting substrate and adjusts the X-directional position and the Y-directional position of the photoreceptor. The Z-directional position adjusting plate is composed of a plate-like deformed plate part 24 of which one end is fixed on the XY-directional position adjusting plate and which is deformed, is moved in close to the XY-directional position adjusting plate and is easily separated and a receptor mounting part 20 which fixes the photoreceptor and whose one end is a free end and another end is connected with another end of the deformed plate part. In addition, this optical pickup is provided with approaching and separating means 34, 32 and 58 which is disposed in the vicinity of the receptor mounting part of the deformed plate part and approaches and separates the receptor mounting part for the XY-directional position adjusting plate across the approach and separation by means of the deformation of the deformed plate part, and guides 28, 54 and 56 which guide the approach and separation of the photoreceptor mounting part. |
