PURPOSE:To prevent fiber powder to be generated at the time of cutting of a prepreg from dispersing, by cutting a fiber base material in a heating process where the fiber base material is brought into a semi-cured state by impregnating and heating the same. CONSTITUTION:A fiber base material impregnated with resin by a dipping tank 5 is entered into a horizontal type drier 2 through a vertical type driver 1, cut off with a cutting blade 4 at about 100-170 deg.C and a prepreg is obtained. A temperature in a drying instrument is kept at the softening point of resin or higher and one prior to starting of curing. Epoxy, polyimide and unsaturated polyimide and unsaturated polyester resin are used as the impregnating resin. Since the prepreg is cut off in a heating process in a semicured state and fiber powder to be generated at the time of cutting is grasped by the resin, the fiber powder is not dispersed. The cut prepregs are piled up after cooling, upon both sides of which copper foils are put, heating and molding of which are performed and a copper clad laminated sheet is manufactured. |
