PURPOSE: To inhibit disconnection of an electric circuit when a square battery is affected by vibration. CONSTITUTION: An electrode unit pressure member 5 which is elastically flexible is inserted between an electrode unit 3 and a terminal 10. The electrode unit pressure member 5 has a similar shape to the shape of an aperture part of an external case 2 and larger external size L1, W1 than the inner size L2, W2 of the external case 2 and also has a ventilation hole 5b in the center part. Consequently, since the movement of the electrode unit pressure member 5 is inhibited by the friction force of the member with the external case 2, a cathode lead plate communicating the electrode unit 3 with a terminal 10 is prevented from being disconnected at the time of vibration. When a terminal plate 6 is welded with the external case 2 by laser welding, the composition of an electrolytic liquid is not changed by the laser beam. |
