The arrangement includes a two position valve. In the closed position an excess pressure is produced in the coolant. The lowest part of the string has a conventional wedge which can be sheared off, and an expansion plug. The arrangement is put at the correct position in the hole and coolant is pumped through the string. The string is then turned while the coolant pressure is monitored. When the pressure rises, the valve is closed. The coolant pressure is then increased to expand the expansion plug and the wedge is finally sheared off. |
