HIGH-SPEED ROAMING METHOD FOR RADIO LAN

摘要

PURPOSE: To provide a high-speed roaming method that can conduct roaming in a very short time by applying subscription operation to an adjacent access point having the best communication environment at a time when a beacon quality of a connected access point reaches a threshold value or below. CONSTITUTION: All access points are operated synchronously with each other and monitor a beacon in matching with a hopping frequency of an adjacent access point. Thus, a station grasps a newest wireless state of the adjacent access point to be subscribed to next and stores the information in a database. When the beacon quality of an access point to which the station subscribes to (is connected to) reaches a threshold value or below, the station references the database and matches a hopping channel and a hopping pattern with those of the adjacent access point having the best communication environment and directly applies subscription to the access point.
