<p>A decorating system and method for decorating the surfaces of bathroom fixtures such as toilet bowls (24) in which decorative labels or stickers (18) are removed from a backing layer and adhered to the toilet bowl inner surface (25) and rim (26) at selected positions. The toilet bowl surface is first prepared by cleaning, flushing, draining water from the bowl, and drying the bowl surface thoroughly, before sticking the labels to the surface and smoothing each label to remove any air bubbles. The bowl is then air dried for a predetermined time period before resupplying water to the bowl so that at least some parts of the labels are submerged, The labels and adhesive backing are each of waterproof or water-resistant material which is also resistant to damage by typical household cleansers.</p> |
