FLAME-RETARDED RESIN COMPOSITION, AND CABLE AND WIRE COVERED WITH THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retarded resin composition which can be molded efficiently at a low temperature without causing defective molding even when it contains an ample amount of a flame-retardant and yet is excellent in tensile strength and elongation, and to provide wire and cable covered with the flame- retarded resin composition. SOLUTION: The flame-retarded resin composition comprises as essential ingredients a component A: a polyethylene obtained by a polymerization reaction using a metallocene catalyst, a component B: a high-pressure low-density polyethylene and a component C: an inorganic metal compound. A covering layer obtained by molding the flame-retarded resin composition is formed around a conductive material to give wire and cable.
