A light emitting diode and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to reduce power consumption caused by a free charge and to reduce a parasitic capacitance by removing an insulation layer. A light emitting diode includes a substrate(210), first electrodes(220), first barrier ribs(230), second barrier ribs(240), light emitting parts(250), and second electrodes(260). The first electrodes are formed on the substrate. The first barrier ribs are formed on the substrate and are patterned between the first electrodes. The second barrier ribs are formed on the substrate and are patterned crossing across the first barrier ribs. The light emitting parts are formed on the first electrodes. The second electrodes are patterned on the light emitting parts. |
