A polymerized rosin is provided to realize excellent (heating) stability even when storing under a heating condition, to enable hydrogenation even after storing for a long time, and to obtain a hydrogenated polymerized rosin having a good color tone. A polymerized rosin(A1) is obtained by desulfurizing a polymerized rosin(A) prepared by using a sulfuric acid-based catalyst and having a sulfur content of less than 100 ppm except for the sulfur content in an antioxidant. A hydrogenated polymerized rosin is obtained by hydrogenating the polymerized rosin(A1) and has a sulfur content of less than 100 ppm except for the sulfur content in an antioxidant. A polymerized rosin ester is obtained by reacting the polymerized rosin(A), the polymerized rosin(A1) and an alcohol(B).
