PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blowing fan assembly for a window air-conditioner, permitting efficient blowing operation without increasing its total volume and the rotating speed of a turbo fan by expanding a flow passage in the construction of a scroll case. SOLUTION: The blowing fan assembly comprises a turbo fan 24 consisting of the scroll case 23, a number of blades 242 built in the scroll case 23, connected to a driving motor 40 and spaced a certain distance from a hub 241 and a shroud 243 attached in common to the end of each of the blades 242 at the opposite side of the hub 241. A pit portion 231 is formed in the bottom face of the scroll case 23, with its diameter exceeding the outer diameter of the turbo fan 24. By locating the turbo fan 24 to be lopsided to the side of the pit portion 231, the flow passage between the shroud 43 of the turbo fan 24 and a suction port 23a of the scroll case 23 is expanded. |
