PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily read an image by a size suitable for screen resolution in a display, to set a fixing point in the positional coordinate desired by a user at the time of changing a reading range and also to definitely set the reading range in the display with a different range measure. SOLUTION: When the reading range of 100dpi in resolution, 600×400 dot fixing in dot numbers and 6×4 inches in length is set, a point P(Xp, Yp) in a figure is the optional logical coordinate when the upper left angle of the whole range is adopted as an original point. Since the reading range is the pattern of a mountain and the moon in the figure, the user changes resolution to be 200dpi being one-fifth. By the resolution change, the dot numbers of the reading range is fixed and resolution is linked so that length is changed to be the five-fold one, that is, 30×20 inches with the P point as the fixing point and the reading range is changed.
