The invention concerns a metal sheet sealing system for an internal vascular prosthesis. It consists of a metal cylindrical sleeve (1) with semirigid wall formed with elongated meshes or longitudinal bars (5) linked by extensible peripheral elements forming a radially self-extensible lattice, or a malleable lattice capable of being radially expanded under the effect of internal pressure and preserve the resulting shape, said sleeve being sealed by means of one or several very fine flexible metal sheets (3) fixed thereon and entirely or partly covering its wall when it is set in place. The invention concerns in particular endovascular prostheses designed to be set by surgical procedure, or by percutaneous endovascular path, in an artery a vein to locally prevent risks of internal haemorrhage caused by leakage or rupture of an aneurysm. |
