PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording material of an optical recording medium with excellent light resistance and storage stability being applicable to a DVD-R disc system in which a semiconductor laser with an oscillation wave length in shorter wave length in comparison with the conventional system. SOLUTION: In the optical recording medium provided with a recording layer 2 on a base sheet 1, the optical recording medium is characterized by incorporating at least one kind of azo metal chelate compound consisting of an azo compound in which tetrazole ring residue or triazole ring residue and an aromatic ring residue are respectively bonded on one end of an N-N double bond and on the other end and a metal, a metal oxide or its salt in the recording layer 2. |
