PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalyst which is excellent in the ability to decompose environmental pollutants, and a method of manufacturing the photocatalyst. SOLUTION: This photocatalyst 3 is supported on a substrate 2 and constitutes a photocatalyst body 1. The photocatalyst 3 is mainly composed of titanium oxides. This titanium oxide preferably contains titanium dioxide of a rutile type in crystalline structure. The photocatalyst 3 is preferably in a film form and its band gap is preferably <=3.1 eV. The photocatalyst 3 is formed by molding a photocatalyst material mainly composed of the titanium oxides to the film form by a coating application method. |
