PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing knowledge search system which opens manufacturing knowledge including know-how about production of industrial goods or the like to the public appropriately and allows the public to search for and obtain the manufacturing knowledge effectively.

SOLUTION: The manufacturing knowledge search system includes: a manufacturing knowledge database 14 for storing manufacturing knowledge with an ontology set showing the concept relation of information including know-how about manufacturing; a security setting section 9 for setting a security level of disclosure of the manufacturing knowledge and its composition information; a search processing section 10 for receiving a search request of the manufacturing knowledge, searching the manufacturing knowledge database 13 in accordance with a search condition designated by the search request, and specifying the manufacturing knowledge corresponding to the search condition; and an information opening and processing section 8 for deciding whether to open the manufacturing knowledge to the public in response to the security level of the manufacturing knowledge and its composition information specified by the search processing section 10, and whether to open the manufacturing knowledge to the public with the concept relation of the ontology set in the manufacturing knowledge.
