The position of the vehicle is determined by processing images of the environment gathered (1) by devices on the vehicle. The environment includes markers that indicate the ideal trajectory (T). The image processing projects a point O representing the vehicle onto a reference surface, then the lateral displacement ( delta ) between the vehicle and the trajectory is computed and displayed.
