PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pit ladder which not only avoids an interference with a use of an entire pit floor as a danger avoidance space, when stored, but also allows an easy handling and safe ascending and descending between an entrance and a pit.SOLUTION: A pit ladder comprises handle means which can be stored as a part of a pit ladder 14 when not in use and which can be moved up to a position higher than a landing sill 18 when in use.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
