The present invention relates to an inverter control device including a circuit for detecting a failure of a silicon controlled rectifier (SCR). According to an embodiment of the present invention, the inverter control device includes: an initial charging circuit unit which rectifies AC power applied to a power input end to charge a predetermined amount of power in a DC link capacitor; a rectifying circuit unit which turns on the SCR to rectify the AC power and supply the rectified AC power to the DC link capacitor when the predetermined amount of power is charged in the DC link capacitor; and an SCR failure detection circuit unit which determines whether there is a failure in the SCR based on a voltage applied to both ends of an initial charging resistor of the initial charging circuit unit and transmits the failure state of the SCR to the inverter control circuit unit. According to the present invention, the inverter control device senses the voltage or current flowing in the initial charging circuit unit to detect the failure of the SCR included in the inverter control circuit, thereby protecting devices inside the initial charging circuit and ensuring safety of an inverter operation. |
