The present invention relates to an insulation system for a storage tank. According to the present invention, the insulation system for a storage tank for insulating the storage tank, capable of storing a low temperature liquefied gas, comprises: one or more insulation members disposed to enclose the outer surface of the storage tank; a plurality of band members formed in the shape of a strip extending lengthwise and disposed to enclose outer surfaces of the insulation members; and a tension control unit for controlling tension of the band members such that the insulation members are in close contact with the storage tank, wherein a part of the band members is disposed at a predefined interval in a first direction, and another part of the band members is disposed at a predefined interval in a second direction intersecting the first direction. According to the present invention, since the insulation members can be in contact with the outer surface of the storage tank at all times, decrease in insulation capability can be avoided, vaporization of the liquefied gas stored inside the storage tank can be minimized, and repair and maintenance costs are reduced. |
