A solid processing compositon for color-developing a silver halide color photographic material which is in the form of granules or a tablet, the solid processing composition containing an alkali agent and a compound represented by the following formula [P] and having a moisture content of 0.5 to 5.0% by weight, formula [P] HO-(A1-O) l 1-(A2-O) l 2-(A3-O) l 3-H where A1, A2 and A3 independently represent an alkylene group.
