PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor for continuously estimating the PM amount for each of grain diameters included in an exhaust gas.SOLUTION: The sensor includes: particulate substance collection units 30L, 30M, and 30S that are a plurality of filter members for collecting particulate substances in an exhaust gas and are arranged in the descending sequence of the porosity from the upstream of the exhaust gas to the downstream; electrodes 32 and 33 that are disposed for each of the filter members 30L, 30M, and 30S and are arranged on the opposite sides of each of the filter members 30L, 30M, and 30S; and estimation units 42-44 for estimating, for each filter member, the particulate substance amount collected by each of the filter members 30L, 30M, and 30S having different porosities, on the basis of the capacitance change between the pair of electrodes 32 and 33.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
