PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for making a long and slender rice cake(karettock, Korean native name) having a space and cavity inside are provided by forming rice for rice cake into the shape of a stick and then compressing to make a hollow cylindrical rice cake. Because this method makes the titled rice cake without separate equipment and process, it can remarkably reduce the manufacturing cost and time. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for making a hollow bar rice cake comprises a pressing means(3) for pushing rice for making rice cake entered through a hopper(5), a drive motor, a discharge means(11) for extruding the rice, and a control part, wherein the discharge means comprise: a discharge plate(15) through which a plurality of discharge holes(17) are penetrated; a forming plate(21) disposed on the front side of the discharge plate to form the rice into the stick shape through a forming hole(23); and a shaping pipe(27) coaxially disposed with the forming hole to form a filling hole at the center of the rice and then to maintain the shape of the filling hole. |
