CARRIER FOR REMOVING PHOSPHORUS BY USING WASTES AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PURPOSE: Provided are a carrier(Geny Pellets) for removing phosphorus effectively from sewage and waste water by using waste steel dust and waste plastics, and a process for producing the carrier. CONSTITUTION: The carrier is produced by the process comprising the steps of: mixing 10-90wt% of the waste steel dust and 90-10wt% of the waste plastics and melting at 120-250deg.C for 15-60 minutes; adding 0.5-3wt% of a foaming agent and about 20wt% of an additive to 100wt% of the mixture of the waste steel dust and the waste plastics and mixing for 3-10 minutes and foaming; extruding the mixture foam. The waste steel dust contains iron oxide, as a main component, which has a particle diameter of 10-100mesh, and the waste plastic is a waste vinyl such as polyvinyl, or a waste plastic containing polyethylene or polypropylene.
