PURPOSE:To easily detect the heat generating period of a battery, efficiently cool the battery with air and, improve the battery characteristic by forcibly feeding air in response to the fluctuation of the battery voltage at the start of formation and during formation. CONSTITUTION:After a non-formation electrode plate is assembled and inserted into a battery jar, dilute sulfuric acid is injected, and formation is performed in the battery jar. In this battery jar formation method, air is forcibly fed in response to the fluctuation of the battery voltage at the start of formation and during formation, thereby the battery is cooled by air. Accordingly, the heat generating period of the battery can be easily detected, and the battery can be efficiently cooled by air. In addition, the battery characteristic can be improved by the measurement of the battery temperature during the battery jar formation. |
