PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication method, etc., capable of transmitting data without much loss with respect to the data at a low degree in permitting data loss even when a deviation is generated in a clock held by each apparatus and synchronization is not excellently obtained between the apparatuses, in the case of transmitting the data by a prescribed timing through the use of a signal having probability to damage the data by a collision. SOLUTION: An ONU 3 stores data (transfer data) to be transferred and different at the degree in permitting loss in a data storage part 332 by permission degree. The ONU 3 divides a timing for transmitting the transfer data into not less than three sections. The data is read from the transfer data storage part 332, so as to allow the transfer data, which is low at the degree in permitting the data loss and requires high reliability, to be arranged in the inner side section.
