PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation power pattern control device which variably controls a radiation power pattern of a space synthesis antenna device including a plurality of radiation elements, and a control method.SOLUTION: A radiation power pattern control device 21 comprises: an excitation information determination part 23 for each element which determines excitation information for variably controlling excitation coefficients of the plurality of radiation elements one by one in order on the basis of a desired value relating to the excitation coefficient for each radiation element corresponding to a desired radiation power pattern; a control command generation part 24 for generating a control command relating to the excitation information; and a modulation wave generation part 25 for the control command which encodes/modulates the control command and transmits it to a space synthesis antenna device 10. The excitation information determination part 23 for each element, the control command generation part 24 and the modulation wave generation part 25 for the control command successively transmit the control command for each radiation element until the excitation coefficients of all the radiation elements in the space synthesis antenna device 10 become the desired value of the radiation power pattern.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
