PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide facsimile equipment where expansion on the way of split print is attained so as to reduce the processing time at the split print and a compression system of a horizontal mode is applied a re-compression of a line corresponding to a break of split pages so as to eliminate the need for storing a reference line even in the case of an MMR code. SOLUTION: In the facsimile equipment provided with a storage memory that stores received coded data, an expansion means that expands the coded data, and a print means that prints the expanded image data, the received coded data are expanded by each line (S201), an offset at a position corresponding to number of lines equal to a length of a long side or a short side of a cut paper sheet of a prescribed fixed form in the coded data is obtained (Yes in S202), the offset is stored (S203), a line just after the offset in the expanded received image data is compressed and stored by a coding system in the horizontal mode (S204), and the expansion is started from the stored and corresponding offset at split printing.
