PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crescent for protecting the crescent itself and a sliding door by restricting the operation of an operation handle to a required minimum while eliminating other unnecessary operation. SOLUTION: The crescent comprises a boxed body 1 provided on the side face of an indoor side meeting stile 30 of the double sliding door and the operation handle 2 turnably journalized to an upper face 1a of the body 1 with a gap to the upper face 1a. On the upper face 1a of the body 1, a stopper 10 is provided at the indoor side adjacent position of the operation handle 2 being in a locked condition. The stopper 10 is formed to be protruded lower than the gap to the operation handle 2 from the upper face 1a of the body 1. The operation handle 2 has a lock portion 20 on the side face, protruded toward the upper face 1a of the body 1. The lock portion 20 is slidable from the adjacent position of the stopper 10 to a position not engaging to the stopper 10 on the side face of the operation handle 2 being in the locked condition.
